A new colleague from Hong Kong has joined the Gu Laboratory for a three-month exchange! On October 8, 2026, Qinyu ZHOU, a PhD student in the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, gave a research presentation to the laboratory. The presentation, “Human Factors in Complex Sociotechnical Systems,” introduced his research theme: looking at systems in which people, technology, and organizations interact through the lens of human factors. Everyone in the laboratory warmly welcomed ZHOU. Alongside the presentation, sharing a meal gave us another opportunity to spend time together and celebrate the arrival of our new colleague. We look forward to learning from one another through research and everyday exchanges over the next three months! A welcome event for our new students is also coming soon. We are looking forward to even more lively moments with our new laboratory members—stay tuned!
